Magdalena Bay: Sardine Run 2025
Every November and December, the waters of Bahía Magdalena come alive.
Striped marlin, sea lions, dorado, dolphins, whales (gray, humpback, fin), orcas, and seabirds gather for one reason: the sardine run. Massive bait balls of sardines and mackerel draw a feeding frenzy—turning the Pacific into a wild, swirling spectacle of life.
