Dive into History: Dive with the AMA (Coming Soon)
In a remote coastal villages of Japan, a centuries-old tradition of sustainable seafood foraging still thrives. Led by women who dive, breath-hold, and harvest from the sea without tanks or modern equipment. These are the Ama, Japan’s legendary free-diving women.
Generations of local fishermen have lived in harmony with the sea, practicing small-scale, sustainable fishing. With less than 2000 Ama left, their way of life is fading.
Your ecotourism directly contributes to keeping this heritage alive. This will be a rare, deeply respectful experience that blends ocean immersion, cultural connection, and a glimpse into one of the oldest freediving lineages on Earth.
